Occurrence: Waynesville, Liberty
Reference: Dalvé, 1948; Hotchkiss, 1970; Shackleton, 2005
Originally Palaeocoma spinosa, and also called Taeniaster spinosus; Includes Taeniaster elegans S.A. Miller (1882), Protaster miamiensis Miller (1882), Alepidaster miamiensis, Taeniaster meafordensis Foerste (1914), and Protaster? / Alepidaster granuliferus Meek (1872). Shackleton (2005) synonymized Taeniaster with Protaster.
