Like Leperditia, except that exteriorly the valves do not overlap but seem to be equal in every respect. In reality, within the left valve there is a sloping area that is overlapped by a corresponding beveled edge of the right valve. Surface sometimes lobulate or nodose (Bassler and Kellett, 1934).
