Planolites

Planolitesis an unbranching, unlined burrow filled with sediment that is distinctly different from surrounding sediment. It is distinguished from Palaeophycus, another unbranching horizontal burrow, which is lined and is filled with sediment essentially identical to the surrounding sediment.
