Monotrypa

Monotrypa sp. in longitudinal (left) and tangential (right) sections. Field of view is 1.5 mm. CMC 61588.

Monotrypa is laminate to hemispheroidal, with polygonal zooecia and clusters of large zooecia. Diaphragms are sparse and walls are undulatory.

Occurrence: Economy
Reference: Dalvé, 1948
Nickles and Bassler (1900) regard M. subglobosa as a synonym of M. turbinata (James, 1878).
